Oliver’s Battery Easter Egg Hunt
Come and have fun exploring Oliver’s Battery at the Oliver’s Battery Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, 17 April. The hunt is organised by Oliver’s Battery Parish Council but is open to all local residents, not just those from Oliver’s Battery. All entrants will receive an ‘Easter Egg’ on completion.

Details
Join the hunt at any time that suits you between 12.30 and 5pm.There will be four courses:
- Infants (Y2 and below): This will take place on Oliver’s Battery Green and should take 30-40 minutes. The Infant Easter egg hunt will involve Shape & Colour recognition. Adult Supervision is required.
- Juniors (Y3 – Y6): Tis route will remain within 300m of Oliver’s Battery Green. It should take around 1 hour and will be approximately 1km. Appropriate Supervision will be required as this will involve road crossings within Oliver’s Battery. This will involve a local map and finding & logging the clues found.
- Open Event SHORT COURSE (Y7 and ALL ages above!): The Short Course will take around 1-1.5 hours. It be 2-3km, all urban, all within Oliver’s Battery Settlement. If you can walk from the top of Oliver’s Battery to the bottom and back, this is for you. It will involve a local map and finding and logging the clues. It will have a more orienteering feel to it. For those wishing a faster pace there will be a trophy for the fastest completion.
- Open Event LONG COURSE (Y7 and ALL ages above!): The Long Course is around 5km (2 hours) long. It is part urban part rural, all within Oliver’s Battery Parish Boundary. If you can walk from the top of Oliver’s Battery to Yew Hill and back, this is for you. Like the short course, it will involve a local map and finding & logging the clues and will have a more orienteering feel. Again, there will be a trophy for the fastest completion.
