Chat-Tea Café Christmas events
Join Us at the Chat-Tea Café Christmas Buffet!
Come celebrate the festive season with us at The Battery Room at The Badger Farm Community Centre. Our Chat-Tea Café volunteers invite you to an amazing Christmas Buffet on Monday, 16th December 2024. Doors will be open from 1.30 to 4pm, and best of all, it’s free!
We’ll be serving freshly made turkey rolls, sausage rolls, and cheese straws, with plenty of our usual delicious home-made cakes, mince pies, Christmas cake and hot drinks. The ever popular Dan, from the Winchester Cook Shop, will also be at the Café helping us to serve our wonderful guests.
At 2 o’clock, enjoy a heartwarming performance by children from the Badger Farm Pre-School Playgroup, followed by a singalong with a talented Ukulele group at 3 o’clock. The Ukulele group will also join guests for some friendly chat and a hot drink.

Santa’s Sleigh Ride
And there’s more magic to come! Santa’s Sleigh Ride is here again to spread some Christmas magic across the city. Santa and his friends from the Winchester Round Table will be coming down your street this December 2024 to raise money for local charities and good causes. Volunteers from The Chat-Tea Café are taking part by walking around the Badger Farm route with Santa and his sleigh, carrying buckets of sweets for all the children (and the big ones!) who come out to see us, as well as buckets for coin donations. Come out and say ‘hello’ to Santa and the volunteers. Some of you may remember our amazing Café Volunteer Betty, who managed to hitch a ride with Santa last year!
Catch Santa’s Sleigh on Wednesday, 18th December – Badger Farm Route. It starts 6.00pm and ends 8.00pm. Route: May Tree Close, Meadow Way, Falcon View, Meadow Way, Plough Way, Harrow Down, Plough Way, Lowden Close, Plough Way, Honeysuckle Close, Ashbarn Crescent, Swift Close, Kestrel Close, Ashbarn Crescent/Rooksdown Road Junction.
