Attention all sellers and helpers!

The next NCT Winchester & District Nearly New Sale, kindly sponsored by Dybles Estate Agents, Liz Knowles Women’s Health & Fitness Physio, Baby Squids, The Breaker Collective and 2Spots Ceramics, is fast approaching. Sunday 13 October 2024 will see hundreds of expectant and new parents descend on Badger Farm Community Centre to snap up top-quality baby and toddler clothes, toys and equipment.

At the last sale, over 5000 items were up for grabs and, with a footfall over 200 shoppers, nearly £6000 worth of items were sold. A proportion of the income generated from selling items goes directly to the local NCT branch and makes a huge difference and helps the charity to support parents, fund helplines and offer local services such as baby first aid courses, breastfeeding support, a reusable nappy library and baby bundles for local parents in need.

How can I become a seller?

Anyone can sell at the Nearly New Sale, you don’t have to be a member of the charity. NCT Nearly New Sales are ticketed events, whereby sellers are charged a small registration fee and a small commission for having their goods sold for them by the local volunteer team. These fees go towards the work of the NCT, including the local community branch and essential national services. Furthermore, the sale provides the opportunity to be more eco-friendly as well as to make some money.

Sellers price and label all items at home and then drop them off at the start of the day of the sale at the Community Centre. Any unsold items can be collected after the sale has ended. There’s no need to worry about displaying or haggling, and no need to stay all day – our  team of volunteers will do the rest. Places fill up quickly so it’s best to register early – seller spaces for the last sale sold out!

How can I help?

A small organizing committee and a large team of 40 on-the-day volunteers work together to set up the event. Helping on the day gives you the benefit of early access shopping, as well as priority seller booking and reduced commission on any items you’re selling – plus, it’s a great way to meet other local parents!
