A very important chess junior  tournament will take place soon! Hampshire Junior Open Chess Congress 2022 will take place on November 13 at the Community Centre.

The tournament is for young chess players who are aged 18 years or less on August 31st, 2022 and is open to all regardless of home location.

It’s an ideal first tournament for any child as there will be many new to tournament chess playing as well as some more experienced children. There will be some super prizes!

At least one accredited coach will be in attendance. Lucas Piecha is a FIDE Schools Trainer who runs out weekly Junior Chess Club. He will observe games and provide training sessions between rounds. Details will be announced once they are confirmed.
