Could you be the next Beth Harmon?

Chess board

If the Queen’s Gambit television series rekindled your interest in chess, why not check out your current skills. Winchester Chess Club meets on Wednesday evenings from 7.15pm to 10.15pm from the beginning of September until the middle of May.

While most evenings offer relaxed matches amongst its members, the Club also organises regular, more structured competitions. The Club also enters three teams in the Hampshire League (Southern area) providing the opportunity to play competitive matches against teams within 45 minutes’ drive. All competition and league match results enable players to obtain an English Chess Federation grade.
