HRS meet at Badger Farm Community Centre monthly on a Saturday from 9.30am to 1.30pm. For more information visit the Hampshire Recorder Sinfonia website.

HRS is an independent group of some 30-40 players of mixed ages and musical backgrounds who perform as a recorder orchestra. Based in Havant and Winchester, Hampshire (UK), the foundations of HRS were laid in 1987 as a wide-ranging series of recorder classes designed to enhance the musical capabilities and experiences of local recorder players. Almost 30 years later, HRS has grown into a fully fledged performance orchestra with a vast concert repertoire and draws a collection of fine players from a wide geographical area. In order to widen awareness of the recorder as a serious instrument in its own right and to present the ever increasing range of the recorder orchestra repertoire to the general public, HRS performs three or four concerts a year. Additionally, it has recorded three compact discs and taken part in an international recorder orchestra exchange.
