Website and Social Media Manager
Are you skilled at using digital platforms to be the voice of the community? We’re looking for a Website and Social Media Manager to take the lead on managing our online presence, currently on Facebook, Bluesky and Twitter. In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping our website up-to-date and creating engaging content for our social media channels. If you’re organised, creative and passionate about connecting with the local community through digital platforms, this role is perfect for you.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience managing websites (WordPress) and social media channels
- Be able to create engaging posts that resonate with our audience
- Communicate effectively with our team to promote events and initiatives
- Be proactive in growing our digital presence and engaging with residents online
Community News Editor
Do you have a flair for editing and an appreciation for local voices? Community News has become an invaluable asset within Badger Farm and Oliver’s Battery thanks to the stories shared by residents, organisations and contributors across our area. We see it as a vital platform for connection, and we rely on the editor’s vision and dedication to keep it thriving. In this role, you’ll manage content, work with contributors and oversee the layout, formatting and desktop publishing to prepare each edition for print and distribution. You’ll ensure our newsletter continues to reflect and celebrate the people who make our community special.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong desktop publishing, editing and proofreading skills
- Communicate effectively with contributors and community members
- Be able to organise content and meet deadlines for three editions per year
- Be passionate about ensuring our newsletter is a trusted source of local news
More about these vacancies
These roles offer the chance to make a real difference in our community. Both are part-time and remote, making them well-suited to someone local who’s enthusiastic about communication and community-building. Although they are listed separately, we welcome applications from people who believe their skills and experience span both. If it turns out to be a great match, there’s every possibility they could be combined into one position.
How to apply
If either (or both!) of these opportunities sound like something you’d love to be part of, we’d be delighted to hear from you. For details of the vacancies and how to apply, please see the attached job descriptions.
Let’s keep building something great for Badger Farm and Oliver’s Battery – together.
