A tribute to Stan

Stan’s passing is such a terrible loss to his family. We wish them strength in the coming days and weeks and fortitude in that Stan’s legacy will be one of love and kindness.
Stan brought humour, smiles and laughter to the Chat-Tea Café. A uniquely positive character. Stan was a beacon of light, shining upon all who knew him, brightening the lives of everyone at the Chat-Tea Café. Those sitting with him would typically have a grin on their faces with regular laughter brought on by his wonderful, often ironic, sense of humour. Seeing him walk through the door, there was always a hint of mischief on his face, and you knew laughter was not far away.
Stan was in his nineties; straight-backed and alert to his surroundings from his days in the armed forces. An occasional salute would bring a respectful smile to all who witnessed this gesture.
We will all miss Stan so much, but his spirit will live on forever where fond memories will revisit those who enjoyed his enlightening presence.
There will be a vacuum at the Chat-Tea Café but his enthusiasm and engaging personality that radiated kindness and togetherness will be filled by memories of his jubilant personality.
God Bless you, Stan dear friend. Rest in Peace.

I’m so touched by your beautiful tribute to my wonderful dad. I know how much he loved attending Chat and Tea, especially the last one where my brother played music. Thank you for being there for Stan the Man. X
