BADGER FARM BRIDGE CLUB CELEBRATE THEIR 30TH ANNIVERSARY!
Congratulations to the Badger Farm Bridge Club who have just celebrated their 30th Anniversary at the Community Centre. They started back in April 1984 in St. Mark’s Hall, Oliver’s Battery. Fred Hotchen who is a founder member says it was really supposed to be a practice ground for people who had been to his Bridge classes but has continued ever since, moving to Badger Farm Community Centre as soon as it opened in November 1986 when it was renamed from Oliver’s Battery Bridge Club to Badger Farm Bridge Club. They originally played in the Whiteshute Room but moved to the Bushfield Room when the Centre was extended. The club meets on Tuesdays from 7.15pm to 10.30pm and the emphasis is on playing bridge in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. New members or visitors are always welcome.
